Didactics
Emphasis on Adult Learners
We employ a flipped classroom model for didactic training. Conference is held every Wednesday 8 AM to Noon.
Residents research and present on core EM topics throughout the year. Faculty mentors are assigned to help formulate and advise on topics of interest.

Faculty and upper-level residents also lead oral board style cases for continued practice throughout the three years of residency.

ROSH Review is utilized to assist in core EM topic training, knowledge acquisition, and test taking skill development.

Simulation takes place locally at LG Medical Center and VCOM Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine Simulation Center.

In-Service practice written board examination is provided to all residents annually.

Our goal is to provide residents with a multimodal approach to Emergency Medicine academic training, and to ensure oral and written board examination passage.
